Residential Homes

Hope for Kids International supports Kids Alive International with the care of orphans and vulnerable children in residential homes.  This is a part of the overall ministry, and a last resort for children where there is no safe alternative while we find a safe 'forever' family - either through reunification with their biological family if the situation allows, or extended family or even fostering.  In our residential homes, groups of children live together in family settings and are cared for by Christian house parents. In this way children experience — often for the first time – the warmth of a family. Multiple residential homes are often grouped together on the same campus to create special ‘children’s villages’, with play areas and other facilities.

Our ministries are designed to meet the needs of children within the context of their own culture and the society in which they live. The children in our homes are cared for from infancy through to adulthood, and are prepared to become responsible and independent members of society. Following high school graduation, many of our children pursue higher education in local colleges and universities to have professional careers  as doctors, lawyers, teachers, and engineers.
