A Goldmine of Grace in Kenya

We are so thankful to God for the Kids Alive Kenya (KAK) medical clinic at Karundas that provides medical treatment to all of the children in KAK's care – even those in our children's homes in other areas of the country. Through the mobile clinic, the medical staff visit each of the five homes in Kenya, treating the children there as well as many people from the surrounding communities. Nearly half of those treated in the community could never afford any treatment – this service is provided at no cost to them, making it a goldmine of grace to those in such need, a beautiful expression of what Jesus means when he talks about loving and serving our neighbour.

Most of the children being cared for by KAK are HIV+ and having medical treatment readily available to them is such a blessing. We do not pre-test children for HIV but only test them for HIV after they have been rescued and brought into KAK's residential homes.

The residential clinic alone treats an average of 350 patients a month. Hundreds more are treated through our mobile clinic – many of whom are women who are HIV+ and widowed.
