We have two projects in Haiti, neither of which has been affected directly by the earthquake.

Thank you to all of you who have enquired if our work in Haiti has been impacted by the terrible earthquake on August 14th, which has so far taken over 2,000 lives. As the earthquake occurred in western Haiti and our projects are in the north in Cape-Haitien, we are relieved to report that our sites have not been damaged and all of our staff and children are well.  We will, of course, update you if that changes.

It is obviously another blow to an already fragile country and no doubt will exasperate ongoing social and economic problems. We would be very grateful if you could pray for this troubled nation, especially for the victims of the earthquake and the ongoing rescue efforts.

Thank you again for your concern and your prayers.
