Christmas appeal to help fund our ongoing response to the pandemic

As the pandemic continues to affect all of our projects across the world in various ways, there is still an urgent need for us to provide emergency food to some of the most vulnerable children and their families that we serve. This Christmas, we urgently need your help – both financial and prayer – to reach them with vital food supplies.

Continued lockdown in just about all of the countries we serve has meant we have been unable to feed many of the children we normally would have in our schools and care centres, usually the only food they get. Their families couldn’t afford to feed them before the pandemic, never mind when in a lockdown when they are unable to earn any piece-meal wages. The situation is especially bad in Lebanon, Kenya and Zambia.

We are urgently trying to reach them to provide emergency food supplies this Christmas.

Your gift of £20 would feed a Syrian refugee family for a week - £50 would buy 500 school dinners in Zambia – and £100 would feed a small vulnerable family in Kenya for 3 months.

We are so grateful to all of our supporters who gave to our last appeal and to those of you who support us in so many other ways. Life-saving food was distributed to many, many desperate families. The good news of Jesus was also shared with a number of the recipients and our staff were able to pray with a lot of them too. We really sensed God was at work and He was honoured in all that you helped us to do.

But the second wave of the pandemic has really started to have an impact and we need to respond again. Our funds have been depleted by our additional food costs, with many maintenance projects put on hold. It has also been extremely expensive making our schools throughout the world COVID compliant (Hall Mead alone cost £12,500!).

We would be so grateful if you are able to support us – either in prayer and/or financially – or if you know of anyone else who might be interested in doing so, please do let them know about us.

Thank you again and may God bless you and keep you safe.
